Important Dates

April 19, 2024

• Disclosure Form: Complete your disclosure form by clicking the Disclosure Form button below.

• Headshot & Biography: Upload your most recent headshot and biography to the Speaker Portal.

• Request for revised title, if applicable: A title was provided to you in your invitation to speak at the IMSVISUAL Summer School 2024. Your presentation should cover the topic that you were invited to speak on, but if you would like to modify your presentation title, please submit to your Speaker Portal. Title changes must be approved by the Program Chair.

• Cell Phone Number: In the rare event that our CE provider has concerns with your presentation slides or we are missing your slides ahead of your scheduled session, IMSVISUAL requests your cell phone number to be used in the event that we are unable to get ahold of you via email.

• Hotel and Travel Arrangements: As an acknowledgment of your service, you will be provided up to two (2) hotel nights and economy airfare for up to $1,000 USD. IMSVISUAL will book your hotel accommodations on your behalf. Airfare should be purchased individually and submitted for reimbursement. Please send your flight itinerary to Delaney Fenske at dfenske@imsvisual.org when booked.

• Registration: You receive complimentary registration as part of your participation in the IMSVISUAL Summer School 2024. IMSVISUAL staff will register you with the information you provide in your speaker portal.

June 27, 2024

• Presentation Slides: You are required to submit a near-final version of your presentation slides for CE review by Thursday, June 27. Submit your presentation file to the Presentation Upload button below.

When clicking the Speaker Portal button for the first time, please create a “New User” account. Once your user credentials are created, please keep note of them as you will need them to return to the portal and update with your information as it is due. The Speaker Portal is where everything EXCEPT your disclosure form and presentation file will be uploaded.

Presentation Preparation Guidelines

• The deadline to upload your presentation slides for CE review is Thursday, June 27, 2024.

• Presentation slides should be created in a widescreen PowerPoint (PPTX file). Do not submit a PDF file.

• Do not put your disclosure details in your slides. Your disclosures were collected on the Disclosure Form and will be provided via a disclosure booklet to attendees on our website. .

• Please use high contrast colors and avoid layering graphs or images in your slides.

• When uploading your presentation, please name the file using this structure: PresentationNumber_LastName (i.e. S1.1_Smith)

• Your presentation should address the topic title provided.

• Note that the audience includes both physicians and scientists. Please include a clinical application aspect to your talks as well as basic science, if applicable.

  During Your Session

• Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to your presentation. We will adhere to the program schedule and cannot allow any presentations to extend beyond their time limit.

• Co-chairs will moderate the Q&A or Panel Discussions and debates with the session speakers. When someone asks a question, please provide a focused response.

• As time allows, the session speakers will be invited to jointly discuss shared learnings as well as further insights into individual findings.

Reimbursement

As an acknowledgment of your service, you will be provided complimentary registration for the meeting, economy airfare for up to $1,000 USD and up to two (2) hotel nights.

Health and Safety

IMSVISUAL will encourage healthy behaviors onsite at the Summer School 2024 that prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other illness and implement health and safety protocols appropriate at the time of the meeting.

Please note that we are requiring all invited speakers to present in person for the Summer School 2024. If you agree to participate in the program but find that you are unable to present in person, please notify Karie Krantz by June 14, 2024, so that we may arrange a replacement.
