On behalf of the International Multiple Sclerosis Visual System Consortium (IMSVISUAL), members authored “The use of optical coherence tomography and visual evoked potentials in the 2024 McDonald diagnostic criteria for multiple sclerosis,” recently published in The Lancet Neurology. This landmark paper supports the inclusion of the optic nerve in the 2024 McDonald Criteria and provides consensus recommendations for the use of OCT and VEPs in MS diagnosis.
